thinking of the bean today

It was only 11 short days ago that I saw her face for the first time and I'm amazed by the huge space she's taken in my life...my heart.  Just a picture and I'm swooning.  Amazing.
Today she turned 14 months old and I'm saddened that she's in an orphanage still, but trusting that they are giving her the very best care they are able.

Only 11 short days ago I went to my agency and saw her face for the first time.

She is from Lianjiang, the bottom red flag on the map.
It's official and the match accepted!!
My dear friends, my doula who accompanied me on this momentous day, and my travel companions - our daughters are from the same orphanage.

Today is a momentous day - the bean turns 14 months and two dearests celebrated their gotcha day.   big day, indeed.

  1. Barb,
Your face is priceless - like an expectant mon = ecstatic joy and loveliness. I am thankful you posted these pictures so I could, in a small way, be a part of this birthing process!!! When do you go to get her?

    Hugs and kisses,
    Cynthia
